This session will explore number and operation algebraic reasoning through hands on application for grades 3‐5. Participants will learn specific strategies in order to differentiate according to learning styles and students’ need, including ELL students.

I CAN Make Data Fun and Engaging!
Knowles teachers will share how the use of I CAN statements have permeated the campus through I CAN journals and class data. I CAN strategies have enhanced students’ ability to explain learning expectations as they are involved in self‐reflection and self‐assessment to document their learning. Teachers will also share ways in which a focus on high engagement has resulted in high achievement.

Mounds of Math Activities
This session will provide teachers in grades 3‐5 with creative, fun and hands‐on learning activities to enhance their math curriculum. These lessons are aligned with the TEKS, and teachers will be able to leave with ideas and materials to immediately use in their classrooms. These activities can be used in daily math class, flex time or a game day/night.
